Some of the pictures and stories shown on the following pages may be disturbing. In many of these cases, the stories are tragic. People have been seriously injured and in some instances, killed. Those involved frequently have suffered very significant, sometimes permanent injuries. The patients, their families, and their friends have all suffered
as a result of these events.

We often receive calls from patients or their families asking us about what happened during an incident. The following photos and stories are provided, similar to a newspaper account, for educational and informational purposes. It is our hope that through education, tragic incidents such as these can be prevented.

Every Tri Towns member that responded to these calls send their thoughts and condolences
to everyone touched by these incidents.

Fri. Dec 16th 2011
Motor Vehicle Collision With Multiple Injuries

On Friday December 16th Barton Fire (Station 19), Tri Towns EMS (Station 50), Georges Creek Creek EMS (Station 55), and The New Creek Volunteer Fire Department (Station 38) were alerted on Garrett County box area 6 for a motor vehicle collision with multiple victims on Aarons Run Road at Westernport Road. Chief 33 went enroute and was unable to locate an accident in Company 33's first due as he continued into Company 24's first due where Units arrived to find a single vehicle (pickup truck) into a tree with several priority 1 and priority 2 victims, no entrapment. MSP Trooper–5 was requested along with 2 more EMS Companies. Apparatus responding from Barton Engine Rescue 192 and Brush 19. EMS units from Tri-Towns EMS 50, George’s Creek EMS 55 and New Creek FIRE/EMS 38.

Another 2 Vehicle Collision

On the morning of Friday January 21st Keyser Fire Station 33, MCcoole Fire Station 23, and EMS 57 were alerted for a motor vehicle collision on Route 46 just south of the old Z-Tower. Chief 33 went enroute and was unable to locate an accident in Company 33's first due as he continued into Company 24's first due where a 2 vehicle collison was located. Chief 33 placed Companies 33, 23 and 57 in service and advised communications to have Tri Towns Fire Station 24, Potomac Fire Station 22 and EMS 50 alerted. 352 went enroute with a crew of two under the command of Lieutenant Richie Wildesen and Paramedic 357 responded with Paramedic Biggs and Captain James Mayhew. 352 obtained 2 signed refusals. All EMS units cleared the scene without incident.

2 Vehicle MVA

On the evening of Thursday January 20th Tri Towns EMS 50, Potomac Fire Company 22, and Tri Towns Fire Company 24 were alerted for a 2 vehicle collison at the intersection of Route 36 and Route 135. Ambulance 350 was the first unit on the scene under the command of Deputy Chief Williams. All subjects were out of both vehicles. Chief 22 and Squad 22 arrived on the scene shortly thereafter. 352 went enroute under the command of Assistant Chief Tim Connor. 350 and 352 obtained 6 signed refusals. Other units on the scene were Engine 24-13 and BOP. EMS units cleared the scene and returned to station.

Today we operate out of a much newer and larger station located 1 mile east of the old Station on Route 50
